2018年に12万平方キロメートルの面積の熱帯雨林が失われたそうです。これは、イングランドと同じくらいの面積だそうです。イングランドと同じと言われてもあまりピンときませんが、日本の面積が約38万平方キロメートルなので、日本の約3分1の面積に相当します。そう考えるとかなりの広さですね。

A3. I think it is very hard to achieve the amount of carbon dioxide put into the air is to drop 50% by 2030. Most countries can’t stop developing economy and people can’t stop consuming energy.

Q4. Are the effects of global warming being felt in your country? Please explain your answer.

A4. I feel the effects of global warming, especially in summer. It is becoming more and more hot and humid in Japan.

Q5. What areas of the world do you think will be most affected by climate change? Why?

A5. Some days ago, I watched the TV program which focus on polar bears live on drift ice. The ice is melting because of climate change and the habitable area for them is getting small.
